work: Grass Cube
materials: Wood, 5 shades of dirt, and Sod on an Ikea Lack table
Inspired directly from the voxel material cubes from the video game Minecraft, I attempted to create a life-size version of a grass block. Dirt
from 5 different sources was collected, and manually glued into squares over a wood-encased Ikea Lack table. Finally, living (and
eventually dying) grass sod was stapled over the top. Part of the Watch Your Mouth gallery show in June, 2011.
